Waterman 'Feathercore' SUPs C4 Waterman’s new FeatherCore
Composite line of SUPs is based on the rigorous refinement of the
foam sandwich/composite structures to find the construction that
best suits the unique needs of the next generation of high- performance
stand-up paddleboards.
Our testing has found that deck and bottom wood veneer laminates
provide the lightest, strongest, least expensive ‘skin’
to complement our featherlight EPS-cored SUPs. These very thin veneer
sheets are sandwiched between successive layers of fiberglass and
epoxy resin and then pressure molded around the EPS core. This creates
a sort of monocoque fuselage, much like an aircraft, in which the
skin of the surfboard in effect becomes the stringer or stiffener.
We have also changed the finish on our new range of boards to a
classic gloss resin surfboard-style finish—no more chipping!

Registering a patent on its new innovation—Multi
Chamber Inflatable Technology (MCIT) and the Axially Stabilizing
Apparatus— the company has challenged the design constraints
of existing drop-stitch inflatable SUP technology to create

This strong, lightweight Stand-Up paddle is warranted
for one year against manufacture's defects.
The ZRE Stand-Up Paddle is lightweight from 13 ounces
(370 grams) to 14.5 ounces (440 grams).
The ZRE original Stand-UP Power Surge blade design is
curved at the bottom blade, and is slightly concave on the
power face for a quick catch. The rib design assures positive
tracking through the water, eliminating flutter. The one
piece carbon fiber shaft is tapered oval, providing strength,
comfort, and positve tracking. The carbon palm grip with
finger recess completes this 100% carbon thunderbolt.
